Yesterday my new coif got its first outing which you can read about here. I didn’t have the time in the morning to sew up my hair as I normally would for Italian dress. While the Italians did have coifs, this style isn’t based on Italian research, but I needed something quick so I went to my coif. It looked great and stayed on all day, except where I took it off to show one woman how it was constructed. She was very impressed with my stitch work, she said “Oh, that’s machine… on no it isn’t! I can tell you enjoy hand sewing, your stitches are so small and neat!”
